Mitsubishi Electric approached us to create a new brand identity and content approach for their new initiative titled ‘Building Excellence Together’.
The brief was to create a new identity which echoed elements of the Mitsubishi brand, having it’s own personality without being an obvious sub-brand. They also wanted to visually show the three core pillars (‘Quality’, ‘Customer Experience’ and ‘Society’) as icons as well as being represented somehow within the main identity.
I worked on multiple visual approaches, looking at different ways to achieve the brief – working with the client and the account team, we eventually chose a final route. Once the main identity and the icons for each pillar were created, I then looked at application of this across print and screen – with an initial series of A2 posters and an A4 brochure becoming the main style guide.
